Father McGivney Catholic had lost three straight, but after bumping their record up to 18-12-2 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Marquette Catholic Explorers. This was a revenge game for the Griffins: when they faced off against the Explorers back in September, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Mia Lieberman paced Father McGivney Catholic's offense, picking up 11 kills. Lieberman got some help from Grace Nesbit and her 19 assists. Emerson Isringhousen controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

As for Marquette Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 18-15. The shutout was out of character for they seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

When it comes to explaining why Marquette Catholic lost, don't look at Brooke Keller. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and seven assists.

Father McGivney Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Carlyle on the 22nd. As for Marquette Catholic, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Litchfield on the 22nd.
