It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Winona Tigers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 49-20 victory over North Panola. The win was just business as usual for Winona, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Winona's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Richardson, who rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 39 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Troylando Eden, who gained 106 total yards and two touchdowns.
Winona's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for North Panola, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Winona will take on East Webster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Webster is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. North Panola does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
