The Denver South Ravens waltzed into their game on Friday with ten straight wins but they left with 11. They had just enough and edged Rangeview out 55-53. For Denver South, this counts as revenge for the 62-57 loss Rangeview walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
It was another big night for Dominic Rhoades-Martinez, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Matt Rhoades-martinez, who scored ten points.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kenny Black-Knox, who scored 13 points along with five blocks. Archie Weatherspoon V was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Denver South pushed their record up to 16-5 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Rangeview, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Denver South will square off against Vista PEAK Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vista PEAK Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 487 points over their last six games. As for Rangeview, they will head out on the road to challenge Denver North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rangeview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
