South County hadn't done well against Lake Braddock recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. She was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Lauren Mrowka, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, two  RBI,  and one  double.  Kelsey Wyllie was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
South County's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 18-8. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Lake Braddock, their loss  ended  a  nine-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 18-7.
