Santa Fe Indian will challenge McCurdy on the road at Home Game at 1:00 PM on Saturday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes : the MaxPreps state rankings predict a close match.
Santa Fe Indian came within a touchdown against Pojoaque Valley last week, but wound up with a 23-36 loss. The loss shouldn't obscure the performances of senior Anders Pecos, who rushed for 114 yards and 1 touchdown, and senior Terrell Toledo, who caught passes for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns. In fact, with 12 tackles Toledo was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, McCurdy came up short against Cuba, falling 0-7.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. We'll see which team satisfies that hunger and which team leaves with an empty belly.
