The La Grange Leopards''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Cuero, falling 49-17. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for La Grange in their matchups with Cuero: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for Mason Notaro, who threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Notaro has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Cuero also got help from Daylon Gibbs who showed off his sure hands for 103 receiving yards.
La Grange's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Cuero, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
La Grange is on the road again on Friday and play against Madisonville at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Madisonville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than La Grange in Texas (Madisonville is ranked 186th, while La Grange is ranked 686th). As for Cuero, they will be playing at home against Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Robinson is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
