The Alpena Leopards can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They slipped by Lead Hill 42-41. The victory was just what Alpena needed coming off of a 65-42 defeat in their prior game.
Lead Hill's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nolan Turner, who scored eight points along with three steals. Nicklas May was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Alpena's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Lead Hill, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.
Alpena will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Jasper at 5:30 p.m. Jasper will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Lead Hill, they will head out on the road to face off against Omaha at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
