Middle Early College is 7-2 against the Presidents since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Middle Early College Kats will head out on the road to square off against the International Prep at Grover Presidents at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Middle Early College has three straight wins, the Presidents have seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though East scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, Middle Early College still came out on top. Middle Early College enjoyed a cozy 75-57 victory over the Panthers.
Meanwhile, International Prep at Grover's 15-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a serious blow against Health Sciences Charter back in January, falling 88-44. While losing is never fun, International Prep at Grover can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 794th, while the Falcons are ranked 105th).
Middle Early College now has a winning record of 3-2. As for International Prep at Grover, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Middle Early College and the Presidents were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but the Kats came up empty-handed after a 50-49 defeat. Can Middle Early College avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
