Even though the Chazy Eagles have not done well against the Boquet Valley Griffins recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Chazy came out on top against Boquet Valley by a score of 46-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chazy.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chazy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Howell, who scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Langlois, who scored 10 points.
Several Griffins players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sophie Pulsifer, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Claire Reynolds, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Chazy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Boquet Valley, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-6 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Chazy will head out on the road to face off against Ticonderoga at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Ticonderoga's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Boquet Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Willsboro Central at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
