After having lost a blowout in their previous game against O'Farrell Charter, the Bayfront Charter Sharks were happy to have found some success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 53-30 margin over Mountain Empire. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Bayfront Charter has posted since December 8, 2023.
Mountain Empire's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrew Sepulveda, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and four blocks. Sepulveda hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Corey Vann, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Bayfront Charter's victory was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. As for Mountain Empire, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
Bayfront Charter will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against High Tech CV at 4:00 p.m. As for Mountain Empire, they will head out on the road to square off against San Diego Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
