The Banning Broncos' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Indio Rajahs at 5:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Banning will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1252nd, while Indio is ranked 454th).
Banning pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a rough 83-58 defeat at the hands of Twentynine Palms. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Banning in their matchups with Twentynine Palms: they've now lost six in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Noah Aguilar, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Sanchez, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Indio scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Cathedral City, posting a 106-27 win on the road. Indio has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 25 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Jayden Gonzalez, who scored 29 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jerry Perkins, who scored 20 points.

This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Banning hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 52.8 points per game. It's a different story for Indio, though, as they've been averaging only 71.3 points per game. The only thing between Banning and another offensive beatdown is Indio. Will they be able to keep them contained?
