North Shelby had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past La Plata 61-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win North Shelby has posted yet this season.
Canton proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 28) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-51 win over Van-Far. The victory was nothing new for Canton as they're now sitting on three straight.
Preston Brewer was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Kaden Oliver was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
North Shelby's record now sits at 4-10. As for Canton, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
