Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Richland Northeast Cavaliers walked away with it. They breezed by Bluffton on the road to the tune of 88-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Richland Northeast.
Bluffton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Bryant, who picked up 225 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Bryant's longest reception was for an incredible 74 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Eitan Golfphin, who rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Richland Northeast is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Bluffton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Richland Northeast is on the road again on Friday and play against South Florence at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. South Florence will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. Bluffton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
