They claimed a resounding 82-45 victory over Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy on the road. That looming 82-45 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Juniata Valley yet this season.
Juniata Valley's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Connor Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 21 rebounds. Those 21 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Charlie Mattas, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Juniata Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, they have fallen quite a ways from their 18-9 record last season and are now at 1-5.
Juniata Valley will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Southern Huntingdon County at 5:30 p.m. on December 26th. Southern Huntingdon County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 408th, while Juniata Valley is ranked 171st). Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against DuBois Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd.
