Even though the Lausanne Collegiate Lynx scored an imposing 58 points on Thursday, the First Assembly Christian Crusaders still came out on top. First Assembly Christian took their contest against Lausanne Collegiate 71-58. Given First Assembly Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Lausanne Collegiate is ranked 149th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Lynx players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carson Boyle, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Boyle scored a full 27.6% of Lausanne Collegiate's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Ford, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
First Assembly Christian pushed their record up to 13-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.9 points per game. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they have fallen quite a ways from their 22-3 record last season and are now at 4-8.
