The Seffner Christian Crusaders put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Gulf 77-8 at home. Considering Seffner Christian has won four matches by more than 27 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Seffner Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaslyn Easley out in front who scored 16 points along with 3 steals. Easley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicole Carreno, who scored 15 points along with 4 steals.
Seffner Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Gulf, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seffner Christian will square off against Lakeland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Lakeland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Wednesday. As for Gulf, they will head out on the road to face off against Berkeley Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
