The Willsboro Central Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Chazy an easy 47-21 win. Willsboro Central lost against Chazy in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 40-30 score last time.
Chazy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carly LaPierre out in front who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Gonyo-Lafountain, who scored nine points.
Willsboro Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Chazy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Willsboro Central will be home for the holidays to greet Lake Placid at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (Lake Placid is ranked 321st, while Willsboro Central is ranked 298th). As for Chazy, they will head out on the road to face off against Seton Catholic Central at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Seton Catholic Central's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Chazy's offense will have their work cut out for Chazy.
