Softball Recap: Southside's Winning Streak Snapped at Eight Games

It was a good run, but Southside unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boaz Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-10 back in March.

Bailey Houston was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Boaz, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Southside is taking a road trip to face off against Springville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boaz, they will host Sardis at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
