Windham is 2-8 against Badger since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Windham Bombers will head out on the road to face off against the Badger Braves at 10:00 a.m. Badger took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Windham, who comes in off a win.
On Monday, Windham beat St. John 53-40. The win was just what Windham needed coming off of a 59-26 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, after a string of 12 wins, Badger's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. Their tough 72-47 defeat to Rootstown might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Badger can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while Rootstown is ranked 66th).
Badger's defeat came about despite a quality game from Gabriella Miller, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Anja Suhar, who scored three points.
Windham now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Badger, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-2.
Windham took a serious blow against Badger when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 61-28. Can Windham avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
