When it comes to explaining why Yuba City lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Saavedra. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Saavedra has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Saleem Rafiq, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Yuba City struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Antelope pulled down ten offensive rebounds.
It was another big night for Logan Melton, who went 9 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points and 3 assists for Antelope. Quentin Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Yuba City dropped their record down to 7-17 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Antelope, their win bumped their record up to 12-13.
Yuba City will head out on the road to square off against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Inderkum has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 861 points over their last ten games. As for Antelope, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully River Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday.
