City College put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Patterson Clippers get on the board and left with a 23-0 victory. Considering the Black Knights have won nine games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Cheyenne Stidham made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.
In other batting news, Madden Branch was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, nine stolen bases, and four runs. Those nine stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Murrell, who fired off two home runs, three stolen bases, and three runs while going 2-for-2.
City College always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .862. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .667 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
