The Evergreen Vikings will be playing at home against the Holgate Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Evergreen will be strutting in after a win while Holgate will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Evergreen beat Bryan 56-44. Given Evergreen's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while Bryan is ranked 584th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Holgate was the victim of a rough 64-41 defeat at the hands of Patrick Henry on Saturday. Holgate was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-14.
Evergreen has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Holgate, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
