If Cookeville was riding high  fresh off their  11-1 takedown of Lebanon last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Cookeville fell  13-10 to the Stone Memorial Panthers on Friday. Even though they lost, the Cavaliers' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
 Jackson Jones led a balanced group of hitters,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's  played.  Ty Harrison was another key player,  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances with two  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Cookeville  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .537. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  OBP total in three consecutive  matches.
Cookeville moved to 6-4 with that  loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Stone Memorial, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6.
 Coming up, Cookeville will welcome Rockvale  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Rockvale has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.25  runs per game on average), something Cookeville will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Stone Memorial, they will head out to  take on Lebanon  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
