After six games on the road, Little Chute is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the New London Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Little Chute will be strutting in after a victory while New London will be coming in after a loss.
Little Chute scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Oconto Falls 75-40 on the road. That looming 75-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Little Chute yet this season.
Meanwhile, New London opened the new year with a less-than-successful 55-50 defeat to they last Friday. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Xavier is ranked 13th).
Little Chute pushed their record up to 8-5 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for New London, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Little Chute strolled past New London in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 52-34. Does Little Chute have another victory up their sleeve, or will New London turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
