If Pendleton County were expecting to get some payback for the 30-38 loss against Lewis County the last time they met, then they were left disappointed. Pendleton County ended up on the wrong side of a painful 20-42 walloping at Lewis County's hands. The state rankings had actually given Pendleton County a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
The defeat dropped Pendleton County's record to 2-4. The win bumped Lewis County's record up to 2-4.
Next week Pendleton County take on Russell at 8:00 PM. Lewis County will be staying on the road, facing off against Bath County. Lewis County will be strutting in after a victory while Bath County will be stumbling in from a loss.
