Scranton lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Delaware Valley, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's matchup. The Knights put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 9-1 win on Monday. That looming 9-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.
Drew Leonori made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Cayden Booth was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Adrian Hernandez, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.
Scranton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Scranton Prep waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Comets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cavaliers have posted since March 15, 2025.
Johnny Petrosky spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Scranton Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Zapotoski, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Scranton Prep now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Scranton, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
