The Summertown Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Spring Hill Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spring Hill took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Summertown, who comes in off a win.
Summertown took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over Dickson County.
Cecil Williams made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Summertown is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise. Williams was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025.
Williams wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Perez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. That's the most hits Perez has posted since back in April of 2025. Another was Ryder Blackwood, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Summertown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Spring Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-4 to Middle Tennessee Christian.
Summertown's record now sits at 6-3. As for Spring Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Summertown has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Spring Hill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Summertown beat Spring Hill 11-7 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
