The Knippa Crushers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Nueces Canyon, falling 57-26. Knippa has struggled against Nueces Canyon recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Nueces Canyon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison Sifuentes, who scored 19 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Kramer, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Knippa bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.5 points per game. As for Nueces Canyon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-8.
Coincidentally, Knippa and Nueces Canyon will both be playing Leakey the next time they take the court. Nueces Canyon will head out to face Leakey at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Knippa will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
