Rider's loss came despite strong showings from Caiden Reed and Jared Cohee. Reed scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, while Cohee scored 12 points. The game was Reed's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Aday, who scored 12 points.
Rider has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Paschal, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rider will take on Granbury at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Granbury presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rider in Texas (Granbury is ranked 221st, while Rider is ranked 688th). As for Paschal, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Boswell at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
