Cosby was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against L.C. Bird on Tuesday. The Titans blew past the Skyhawks 7-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Cosby has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for L.C. Bird, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cosby will face off against rival Powhatan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Titans 3.9, the Indians 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, L.C. Bird is set to take on their familiar foe Midlothian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
