The Clearfield Falcons will take on the Woods Cross Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clearfield will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Last Tuesday, Clearfield earned a 15-10 victory over Northridge.

Jenna Lloyd made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and five unearned) runs off seven hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was even better at the plate, scoring four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Clearfield got a massive performance out of Alexandra Bingham, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Addyson Haddock, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Clearfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northridge only posted an OBP of .389.
Meanwhile, Woods Cross came up short against Green Canyon on Monday, falling 16-6.
Woods Cross saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Moen, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another was Audrey Ayala, who scored a run and stole a base.
Woods Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Clearfield, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Clearfield hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .391. However, it's not like Woods Cross struggles in that department as they've averaged .368. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Clearfield took their win against Woods Cross in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-1. Will Clearfield repeat their success, or does Woods Cross have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
