Even though they lost, Vaughn smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.
Leading Northridge Academy to victory were Christian Perea and Isaac Alvarez. Perea made all 7 shots he took to post 17 points and six rebounds, while Alvarez went 5-for-10 to rack up 14 points and six steals. Thanks to that strong game, Perea now owns an excellent 47.5% shooting accuracy. Anthony Castro also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.
Vaughn's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Northridge Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-17 record this season.
