They strolled past Michigan Lutheran Seminary with points to spare, taking the game 50-35. Given Hemlock's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Michigan Lutheran Seminary is ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kylee Miller had a dynamite game for Hemlock, scoring 20 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. Lauren Borsenik was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Hemlock pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.46 points. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.
Hemlock will head out on the road to challenge Bullock Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, they will be playing at home against Valley Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
