Roane County is a perfect 10-0 against Calhoun since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Raiders will host the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Roane County let Clay County stack ten runs on them in the sixth inning on Thursday but luckily Roane County prevailed anyway. The Raiders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-15 win over the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since April 12th.

Roane County let Lexi Mitchell and Fair Smelko run wild. Mitchell went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Smelko went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most hits Mitchell has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Burdette, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Roane County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 14 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Calhoun got the win against Braxton County on Monday by a conclusive 13-5.

Roane County is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Calhoun, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.

Roane County skirted past Calhoun 7-6 in their previous meeting on April 12th. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
