Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whiting). They breezed by the Calumet New Tech Warriors to the tune of 63-22 on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Oilers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Whiting's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8. As for Calumet New Tech, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the loss, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Whiting won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hebron at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Whiting is facing Hebron at the right time seeing as Hebron is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Calumet New Tech, they will be home for the holidays to greet Gary West Side at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
