Ti'asia Taylor had a dynamite game for Hunt, scoring 30 points along with five steals. Those 30 points set a new season-high mark for her. Aiyana Harrison was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
C.B. Aycock lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Audrey Teasley, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. The contest was Teasley's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bree Jones, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Hunt's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for C.B. Aycock, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Hunt will be playing in front of their home fans against Smithfield-Selma at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Smithfield-Selma comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for C.B. Aycock, they will head out on the road to face off against East Wake at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. East Wake is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
