Basketball Recap: Arrowhead Christian Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Arrowhead Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They secured a 40-34 W over the BASIS - Prescott Coyote. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2021.

Arrowhead Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hadasa Rubio, who went 6 for 15 on her way to 14 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Rubio a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Leah Rubio, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Arrowhead Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for BASIS - Prescott, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.

After both having extra time off, Arrowhead Christian Academy and Paradise Valley Christian Prep will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Arrowhead Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 24 points per game this season, so Paradise Valley Christian Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for BASIS - Prescott, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ville de Marie Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
