South Philadelphia took a 56-41 bruising from Parkway Center City on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that South Philadelphia has lost by exactly 15 points.
Parkway Center City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Israel Mckinley led the charge by scoring 19 points along with 5 steals. The game was Mckinley's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden McKnight, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
South Philadelphia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Parkway Center City, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
South Philadelphia will be playing at home against Martin Luther King at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Martin Luther King focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Thursday. As for Parkway Center City, they will head out on the road to face off against Franklin Learning Center at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
