Pettus has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Moulton Bobkatz at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
On Wednesday, Pettus came up short against Nordheim and fell 53-45. Pettus has struggled against Nordheim recently, as their game on Wednesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Pettus saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Nathan Orr, who scored 14 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Desmond Montoya, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Moulton, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with a 38-28 victory over White Oak back in December of 2023.
Pettus' loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Moulton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.
Things could have been worse for Pettus, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-35 loss to Moulton in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Pettus avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
