After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cisco, Abilene Christian was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They skirted past the Clarendon Broncos 8-7. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Abilene Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Clarendon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Abilene Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Christian Life Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Clarendon, they are taking a road trip to face off against Trinity Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Clarendon's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
