Ansley Parr made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 22 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Journey Prince was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Douglas, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
Childress kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.6.

Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Canadian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .394. However, it's not like Childress struggles in that department as they've averaged .367. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
