Basketball Recap: Buckeye Skates Past Crismon with Ease

Buckeye's tournament run continued when they took on Crismon on Friday. The Buckeye Hawks blew past the Crismon Rattlers, posting a 69-39 victory. With that win, the Hawks brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.

Buckeye's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carsyn Jones led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Jones a new career-high in points. Tia Chapman was another key player, going 8 of 15 on her way to 17 points and five rebounds.

Buckeye smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Buckeye has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Crismon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

As for Crismon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-20 defeat against Estrella Foothills on the 4th.
