Don Lugo had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 27-13 bruising from the Buena Park Coyotes on Friday.
Brandon Pinon threw for 166 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Nolan Chavez was his top target, picking up 79 receiving yards.
Buena Park can attribute much of their success to Kevin Garcia, who threw for 267 yards on 19 of 31 attempts, and also rushed for 34 yards and one TD. 82 of Garcia's passing yards were hauled in by Andrew Delgado.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Don Lugo will welcome Carter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Buena Park, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Westminster at 7:00 p.m.
