The Okawville Rockets will head out on the road to square off against the Red Bud Musketeers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Okawville's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
If Okawville beats Red Bud with 16 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Everything went the Rockets' way against Woodlawn on Monday as they made off with a 16-1 victory. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Rockets this season.

Kenley Hackstadt and Jaycie Buss did most of the damage at the plate: Hackstadt went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Buss went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Buss has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Jilien Harre also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Okawville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Red Bud had taken Chester down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Musketeers fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 5-4. The game marked the Musketeers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Julia Ohlau spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Ava Wagner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
Okawville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Red Bud, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Okawville has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .433. However, it's not like Red Bud struggles in that department as they've averaged .455. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Okawville might still be hurting after the 16-4 loss they got from Red Bud when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
