The Nogales Nobles lost against the El Dorado Golden Hawks back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Nogales was beaten by El Dorado 86-48. While losing is never fun, Nogales can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 791st, while El Dorado is ranked 354th).
El Dorado got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathan Meek out in front who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for Meek. Another player making a difference was Andrew Salvador, who scored ten points.
Nogales' loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for El Dorado, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nogales won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Southlands Christian at 6:30 p.m. on December 13th. Southlands Christian is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. El Dorado will be home for the holidays to greet Garden Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
