It was a good run, but The Burns Hilanders unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. Their rough 38-13 loss to Banks might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Burns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Banks is ranked 26th).
Banks was led to victory by Max Walker and Kade Long. Walker picked up 79 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while Long threw for 187 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes. Justin Walters got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Burns' defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Banks, their victory was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0.
Burns does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Banks will take on North Valley at TBD on Friday. North Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 185 points over their last four contests.
