After losing to the Frontier Academy Wolverines the last time they met, the Liberty Common Eagles decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Liberty Common came out on top against Frontier Academy by a score of 54-41 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Liberty Common.
Carson Ford had an outrageously good game as he scored 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Baldwin, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Frontier Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jackson Steward. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Steward is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Lucas Carmichael was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Liberty Common is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season. As for Frontier Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
Liberty Common will be playing in front of their home fans against Brush at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Brush focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. As for Frontier Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Platte Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Platte Valley is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season.
