Basketball Recap: Alexander Skates Past Rome with Ease

Alexander not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since January 9th (when they won 53-7). They breezed past the Rome Wolves to the tune of 51-23. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-12.

It was another big night for Nimah Ibidunni, who went 8-for-16 en route to 21 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Alexander's points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Allen, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 13 points.

Alexander was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Alexander pushed their record up to 4-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for Rome, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
