After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Andrew's, the Vista Ridge Rangers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 63-14 victory over IDEA Montopolis on the road. That looming 63-14 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Vista Ridge yet this season.
Vista Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sneed Cayden out in front who scored four points along with six assists and six steals. That's the first time this season that Cayden grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tavon Mcadams, who scored ten points along with three steals.
IDEA Montopolis' loss came despite strong showings from Trey Sneed and Damarion Fisher. Sneed scored seven points, while Fisher scored seven points. Fisher scored a full 50% of IDEA Montopolis' points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Vista Ridge's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for IDEA Montopolis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Brenham the next time they take the court. Vista Ridge will head out to face Brenham at 2:20 p.m. on Thursday, while IDEA Montopolis will head out to face them at 2:20 p.m. on Friday.
