Bren Milburn turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than six strikeouts on Friday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He was dominant the last time he took on Kankakee last Thursday, so they probably should've seen this coming. Crete-Monee is 2-1 when Milburn allows three or fewer hits, but 2-5 otherwise.

Milburn's strong effort led Crete-Monee over Kankakee and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2022, but likely not for long.
